Avant Garde Cowhide Rug

This contemporary rug features a gorgeous ombre effect that adds dimension and character to any room in your house. Its sturdy cowhide makeup affords it the ability to be placed in any area that experiences heavy foot traffic without concern over the patchwork rug getting damaged or coming apart. Made from soft, touchable animal hide, this rug begins as a nearly-solid black color that fades into chestnut brown and gray in randomized sections of squares. A stark contrast appears in the center where the second half of the rug begins to go from a mixture of deep browns and tan to an ultra light tan, white and gray.

This patchwork cowhide rug comes in two varying patterns, each with small squares that have all been stitched together to form repeating, busy markings that are tantalizing and appealing to the eye. The first of these rugs features small, off-white squares stitched together to form the basis of the rug. In the upper left corner of the squares are triangles that take up half of the squares in a variety of rich browns. The second rug features gray and sporadic tan squares that have been stitched together. The squares feature rolling wave-like shapes that extend out of the bottom right hand corner and come in the same tan and gray hues.
